Apple Annie's Orchard
Family Documentary Photography
We are city folks. My children are not familiar with a thriving garden. Things grow in my refrigerator but not in my garden. For this reason, we visit Apple Annie’s. My first visit and oh yes it’ll be on my “must return” list! if only for the fresh cider donuts.
First stop: the apple orchard – loaded up on Granny Smith and Pink Lady apples (later celebrated Isaiah’s birthday with bacon, apple, gouda cheese, and red onion quesadilla’s followed by apple crisps with black walnut ice cream. yum.)
Second stop: the shop – featuring fresh fudge and pantry products like Bourbon Bacon BBQ sauce and other goodness. the line – huge and worth the wait for fresh melt in your month cider donuts.
Third stop: a short trip a few miles away to the pumpkin patch and sunflower fields. Documented the hunt for the perfect pumpkins and sunflowers. We were triumphant and loaded up the van for the hour trip home. Felt a little bit like fall even in Arizona!
