Bisbee Photo Walk - Joanna Joy Photography
Family Documentary Photography
So niece with good taste picks a birthday breakfast spot, the Bisbee Breakfast Club (new location in Tucson is open!) and thus la familia spends a day strolling Bisbee. Brief history – copper mining town now a quirky, artsy, antiquey quaintsville. Armed with cameras, we explore.
We wander upper attics of antique shops and into historic museums. The Wild Ol’West is pretty young – antiquing here is not quite the same as on the east coast but Bisbee does manage to bring a lot of character to the desert! Shall we speak of character and endurance? Let’s talk the Bisbee 1000. This race route takes you up all 1000 stairs in Bisbee – we climbed a few sets. I was sore for days. I’m planning on training to one day run this. It’s a very distant goal.
The best bit about documenting family events? I love seeing giggling cousins and big beautiful smiles!! And big brother helping little sister with her ice cream? that’s cute too!
