Saturday Still Life
Healthy and gorgeous. Drink it in folks. This weeks Saturday still life photography subject was purchased with a warning. A man approached me at Home Depot and ominously warned this plant is finicky, hard to grow, and doesn’t like water. Well, I was sold at the “doesn’t like water” bit. Plant neglect is my specialty. Along with plant appreciation. Which is ironic – if I like them, why do so many end up dead? It’s a mystery.
In other random news, another man approached me at the grocery store and warned the pumpkin crops weren’t good this year (insider news from a farmer friend he said) and advised I’d better stock up now. He also said he took all the cans from the baking aisle and I’d need to go look elsewhere.
Plant death and pumpkin shortages.
That’s how my Saturday mornings roll. The fear is everywhere.
